Journey as an artist

I am an artist based in Pune. Though I did not pursue it as a part of curriculum and majored in Chartered Accountancy, it’s the childhood passion that makes me paint regularly.

I used to do sketching and poster color paintings since childhood when I was 6-7 years old. Post my education, I started pursuing Art along with my job since 2016. Currently I am learning from my Guru Vilas Kulkarni, who is also a renowned artist in India.

I paint in watercolor. The transparency and simplicity of the medium appeals me a lot, athough I like and have painted in other mediums too such as Oil Pastels and Acrylic.

Old cityscapes, landscapes and historical places from India as well as abroad are my favorite subject areas to paint.

Participation in contests and exhibitions

  • In July 2018, I had participated in ArtLife Fest Contest, an online contest held in Russia.
  • In December 2018, I had participated in Group Exhibition of all the students of my Guru Vilas Kulkarni. 8 of my paintings were displayed in the show at Balgandharva Art Gallery, Pune. I had also given the live demonstration in the event.
  • In May 2019, I participated in annual international online contest held by Global Association of Watercolor Artists (GAWA) and 2 of my paintings are shortlisted for Jury Process from among around 700+ entries.
