Hemant Joshi

Born in 1971, Hemant Joshi is a talented sculptor from Udaipur. He completed his M. A. in Drawing & Painting in 1994. Hemant’s forte as a sculptor is his command over his medium of choice – Marble. He experiments with marble stones of different colours.

Hemant has had several exhibitions to his credit in India and Denmark. He was awarded A. I. F. A. C. S. scholarship by All India Fine Arts & Craft Society, New Delhi in 1997. He won the second prize at International Stone Fair held at Bangalore in 2006. He was invited for 3 months residency workshop at SKIVE, Denmark in 2008. He participated in International Camp in 1998 as well as in Takhman-28 and WZCC, Udaipur.

Hemant Joshi's works are in collection with NLKA New Delhi, WZCC Udaipur, Jawhar Kala Kendra, Jaipur, Takhman - 28 Udaipur, S. R. P. L. Udaipur, ZCC Chandigarh, Sthapatya Kala Niketan Udaipur, N. Z. C. C. Patiala, Elder Centres SKIVE, Denmark.
