Navi Mumbai Bengali Association would like to announce a first of its kind Painting Exhibition cum Sale, ART FIESTA, to promote young and upcoming artists of the city. A great chance for the budding artists to display their creative work. From a set of submissions that has started pouring in over mail in the month of November, a panel of professionals and art intellects has selected the cream set of 30 works will be exhibited for display and sale. This exhibition is not only providing the platform to the artists, but also motivating them to come out of their social and family responsibilities to give time to their favourite leisure. On a larger scale, this initiative is a breakthrough for the entire ART fraternity. The event is sure to be a treat to remember for all ART lovers. The exhibition details are as follows.

Chief Guests

1. Sri Nitin Keni : Ex Dean, Dept. of Fine Arts, Mumbai University & Ex HOD, J.J college of fine Arts.
2. Sri Milind Sathe : Art Promoter & Curator, Director Indiaart, Trustee, Art India Foundation.
3. Gautam Patole : Artist and Gallerist, Artdesh. Specialized in charcoal paintings.
4. Rupai Madan: Artist and sculptor (stone, wood and metal).
5. Ananya Banerjee: A very well-known artist and celebrity chef.
6. Rajesh N. Patil: Bachelor of Fine arts in the year 1996 from JJ School of Applied art.

To encourage the young artists and to give a professional guidance to their talents, NMBA has also organized few workshops at the exhibition space during the event dates. This workshop is kept open for all, with prior registration at NMBA office. The workshop details are as follows.

1. ART Demonstration by Ms. Alpana Harischandra
   • 5th December 2015 (Saturday), 5pm 7pm
     Topic : Landscape Painting
     Participation Fee : Rs. 500/- each
   • 6th December 2015 (Sunday), 4pm – 6:30pm
     Topic : Portrait Painting
     Participation Fee : Rs. 750/- each

   Ms Alpana Harishchandra will talk about the nuances of art, composition and creation. She is a Gold medallist from MSU Baroda. (In advertising and Graphic design in Fine arts)

2. Artist Interaction
   • 6th December 2015 (Sunday), 11am - 1pm
     Participation Fee : FREE
     

     With well-known gallerists Mr. Milind Sathe and Mr. Gautam Patole and Mrs. Rupali Madan. Artist Ananya Banerjee will also visit us on Sunday.

3. Calligraphy Workshop by Ms. Pinky Das
   • 6th December 2015 (Sunday), 11am - 1pm
     Participation Fee : Rs. 500/- each
     

     Pinky Das is an art teacher and had a liking for art since her school days. Currently as an art head with NESISM, she develops Early and Middle school students. She was a student of the reputed L.S Raheja school of Arts, Bandra. She is a professional Calligraphist and an experienced handwriting improvement teacher. She is also a certified Graphologist.
