Information This painting by child artist Ananya Aloke, Class 10 received a Bronze Medal in Khula Aasmaan drawing contest for children and college students for April to June 2019.

This painting is my representation of city-life. This is the way I feel about it when I remember my childhood days in the village. At one time, homes and people both had individual characteristics and variety. But today, walking through a big city, I only find high -risebuildings around me, which are essentially alike. There is a crowd everywhere but I hardly know. Living among themselves, most city- dwellers are isolated people. To create that effect of loneliness, I have deliberately avoided showing any human figure in the painting.
