Pune International Centre announces the National Conference on Climate Emergency, 2025 – because One Planet, One Chance!
On this occassion Khula Aasmaan in collaboration with Pune International Centre (PIC) organised an art competition and essay contest on the theme Climate Emergency. This event aims to educate and sensitize the youth about the Global Warming and Climate Emergency.
Themes
- For age group 5 to 15 years :
- "Our Planet Needs Help" (Draw ways we can save the Earth from climate change.)
- "Small Changes, Big Impact" (Draw simple actions, like recycling or planting trees, that help the Earth.)
- "Marine Life in Danger" (Effects of pollution on ocean ecosystems)
- For age group 16 & above :
- "The World in 2050: A Future with Climate Action" (Depict a hopeful vision of a world where humanity tackles the climate crisis successfully.)
- "Voices of Youth: Climate Activism" (Illustrate the role of young activists in the climate movement.)
- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: A Call for Action
Painting Contest Details
- Contest closes on 10th February 2025.
- Participation is free.
- 24 x 7 Online submission.
- Artwork size : A4 or A3 or Any other
- Medium : No restriction on medium. You are free to use pencils, colour pencils, oil pastels, poster colours, watercolours, acrylic colours, oil colours, pen & ink or digital art.

Essay Contest Details
- Contest closes on 10th February 2025.
- Participation is free.
- 24 x 7 Online submission.
- Word limit
- For 5-15 years : 500-800 words
- For 16 & above years : 1000-1200 words
- Language : Marathi, Hindi & English
- Participants are requested to capture good quality photo of your essay and upload it.
Prizes
The prize distribution ceremony will take place on Friday, 7 March 2025 at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Sankritik Bhavan, Ghole Road, Pune
Winners will receive the exciting prizes.
All shortlisted essays and artworks will get digital certificates.
All participants will get e-certificate of participation.

About the YouCan 2.0
The Energy, Environment and Climate Change (EECC) division of the Pune International Centre (PIC) is planning to organise a major National Conference on Climate Emergency on 8 th March 2005. Under this initiative, PIC will also host a Youth centric event ‘You Can 2.0” on 7th March 2025 (Friday) at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Sankritik Bhavan, Ghole Road, Pune. This event aims to educate and sensitize the youth about the Global Warming and Climate Emergency - a crisis caused due to irresponsible human activities in rich advanced countries, but now emerging as the most potential “Existential Threat’ to youth today and future generations,. The Youth event will spread awareness and sensitive the youth in Pune towards Climate Resilience and possible solutions to tackle this urgent issue.
