Mountain theme for painting competition

Mountain is a theme for Khula Aasmaan international free online art competition for children, young adults and other age groups. Mountains have lured explorers, travellers, trekkers, pilgrims and tourists for thousands of years. Each one of them gets attracted to the mountains for a different reason and the pull is compelling. Mountains have also been considered as the abode for Gods and hence have spiritual and religious importance in many faiths. The sheer beauty of the mountains is something to experience in real life. Mountaineers risk everything in their attempt to summit mountain peaks. It is therefore a challenge to the artists to paint the mountains and mountainscapes in their many different hues and colours. Painting snow-clad mountains throws additional challenges to an artist and many artists willingly take up that challenge.
