Remarks

The global symbol of China is the dragon and the imprint of the Chinese flag on the very same dragon justifies the fact that the red dragon signifies the presence of China. PM Narendra Modi is the man who is chosen to be the decision-maker of our nation but without the help of police and healthcare sector, he alone cannot stand strong therefore the kite being flown by PM Modi signifies his authority and the thread sheave is in the hands of policeman and a doctor which thereafter explains the indefinite support provided by them, in this pandemic. The hygiene levels are being maintained by the domestic workers incessantly and the most important component, which according to me are the kites signifying few of the most adversely affected countries around the globe whose threads are shown to be cut and still the kite of our nation flies mapping the heights of the sky with a lock on the thread which is the symbolic representation of the lockdown in our nation. Even after being the second most populated country in the world we have not been so adversely affected as the other ‘developed’ and ‘least’ populated countries have. Overall, this composition describes how India stands strong when united and on it.

This painting by young artist Jessica Wadhwa (17 years) received a Silver medal in Khula Aasmaan painting competition for students for April to June 2020.
