Zain (Zayn) Malik is a former member of the British boyband One Direction. His familial roots date back to Pakistani origin as his father belongs to Pakistan, however his mother belongs to British-Irish background. Born and raised in Bradford, West Yorkshire, Malik aspired to pursue a career in music from an early age, and auditioned as a solo artist for the British music competition The X Factor in 2010.
He left One Direction in March 2015, and now records solo songs collaborating with other artists, consequently developing unique versions of music.
