Remarks

"This work depicts an episode from the Ramayana where demon Kumbhakaran is being woke up by sounds, drums, tickling and food fragrance. According to the legend, Kumbhakaran was the powerful and gigantic brother of demon King Ranvana, who used to sleep for 6 months at a stretch and then wake up to eat. It was ordered by King Ravana , to wake him up early to fight in the war with lord Rama. This word depicts the efforts to wake up Kumbhakaran."

This painting by child artist Crystal Mittal (7 years) received Bronze medal in Khula Aasmaan Ramayana art contest.
