This painting depicts Ardhanarishvara, which represents synthesis of masculine and feminine energies of the universe. Both cannot exist without the other. In most of the mythological paintings, the Ardhanarishvara is represented as adult figure; here, I have tried to represent the child form of the same exuberating innocence and divinity.
