World Art Day is celebrated on 15 April in honour of the birthday of Leonardo da Vinci. Leonardo (1452 - 1519), known as the Renaissance Man, is widely regarded as the universal genius whose curiosity and imagination had no boundaries. His areas of interests included invention, painting, sculpting, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany, writing, history, and cartography.
