Remarks
Paramhansa Yogananda felt that Yosemite Park in California was surely one of the most beautiful places on earth. This particular scene shows the sheer cliff of El Capitan, a climbers paradise, on the left and Nevada Falls on the right. This formation is known, justifiably, as the gates of heaven. In the distance is the iconic Half-Dome. The scene is painted mainly in cool tones helping one to go inward and gently expand into the infinite space of these mountains.
