King Mamsa steadfastedly devised many ways to destroy the boy Krishna, who was destined to kill him. He sent the demon Kesin to Vraja in the guise of the horse Kesava. Much to Kamsa’s never ending chagrin, Krishna easily defeated the horse in a prolonged battle.
