This was conducted by Shri. Ramesh Date, a veteran artist who has dedicated his life for propagation of this craft. | ||

Art India Foundation through its project "Art to Schools" arranged a lecture demonstration of watercolour painting by Chitra Vaidya at Madhavrao Bhagwat High School, Vile Parle, Mumbai on Saturday 10th December 2011.
This event was organised by Art India Foundation as part of "M K Kelkar Art Initiative". Late Shri M. K. Kelkar was a well known watercolour artist from Mumbai who trained under eminent artist late Shri. S. L. Haldankar. The family of late Shri M. K. Kelkar has extended its support to the project "Art to Schools" and several events have been planned under the banner "M K Kelkar Art Initiative".
Calligraphy demonstration by Babu Udupi
Art India Foundation through its project "Art to Schools" had arranged Demonstration and lecture on art form "Calligraphy" by Prof. Babu Udupi in which there was a dialogue with students during question answer session. During the lecture Prof. Babu Udupi explained the development of marathi and english alphabets.
Prof. Babu Udupi is a master in Calligraphy.
Live watercolour painting demonstration by Chitra Vaidya
Art India Foundation through its project "Art to Schools" will arrange interaction of artists with children in a format which will consist of a demonstration of the art form as well as a dialogue with the students. The artists will be drawn from visual as well as performing arts. The objective of this project is to ensure a high level of awareness and exposure to various art forms among children and thereby stimulate creative thinking and build an urge to go beyond the obvious and start thinking out of the box.
Talk by Dr. Nalini Bhagwat on History of Indian Art

Demonstration of Mithila art by Shanti Devi – Mithila Painter from Bihar
Demonstration of Mithila art was conducted on 5th Sept by renowned artist Shanti Devi, originally from Bihar now settled in Delhi. The workshop was open to all. While answering queries on Mithila ( Madhubani ) art form, she also explained how old this art form is and the how they use to make the colours from. Like from Haldi they use to make yellow, from yellow mustard seeds and Sindoor they use to make red, from Parijaat flowers stem they make orange and from green from leaves and black from kajal.
Demonstration of Portrait painting by Eminent Artist Aku Jha
A Portrait painting demonstration by eminent artist Shri. Aku Jha was arranged on 13th Jan 08. He did figurative work in oil colours on canvas by having a model sitting in the hall. He did another work was in poster colour by using an injection needles.
Live Portrait painting Demonstraion by Shrikant Jadhav
A nature drawing demonstration arranged by Indiaart Gallery on 11th February 2007, drew on enthusiastic crowd of art lovers and amateur artists to the venue. The demonstration ably conducted by Professor Shrikant Jadhav of Sir. J. J. College of Arts, took the audience through all the aspects of on the spot drawing techniques. He initially explained the advantages and disadvantages of various mediums and expressed his own personal liking for the water - colour medium, which is one of the most difficult mediums to handle.
Demonstration of painting with Dry Pastel by B. R. Kulkarni
Born and brought up in Belgaon. Did his G. D. Art Painting in 1964. He was awarded by Lalit kala Academy, Karnataka State. He is vice President of The Art Society of India, Mumbai. He is a nephew of eminent Artist & Art teacher K. B. Kulkarni, under whose guidance many well known Artist have taken lesions.
Portrait Painting Demonstration by Sanjay Shelar
Indiaart Gallery had arranged an exhibition of work done by hobby artist with title Art fest-2007, in Balgandharva Kala Dalan. They were the course participants of different courses arranged by Indiaart Gallery during April 2006 & March 2007. On this occasion Indiaart Gallery had arranged a portrait demonstration with live model of a talented young figurative artist Sanjay Shelar, who has done G. D. Art Ptg. from Kolhapur.
Demonstration of Landscape in Watercolour Painting by Milind Mulick
A water – colour demonstration arranged at the India art Gallery, Aundh, for the residents of Aundh, Baner and the surrounding areas, by popular artist, Milind Mulick, drew a full house or rather gallery!
A step – by – step guide, right from what paper colours, brushes etc., to select for landscape painting, was first explained by the artist. He then proceeded to demonstrate the use of photography as a reference, to create a lovely landscape painting, whilst Dr. Ajay Hardikar gave a running commentary, explaining what the artist was doing. This enabled it to be an on going experience, without any interruptions, leaving the artist at ease to paint.
Watercolour Landscape Demonstration by Eminent Artist Vikas Patnekar
On 8th Dec 07 a water colour painting demonstration by world famous artist Vikas Patnekar was arranged for the Art lovers from Pune and surroundings. Vikas Patnekar is an artist from Balgaum who took his Art lessons from his teacher Late K. B. Kulkarni of Belgaum. He has developed his own technique applying masking fluid, salt etc., to get the desired effects in his water colour paintings. He loves to paint forest, falls, misty scene, green fields etc.
Portrait painting demonstration by Suhas Bahulkar
Indiaart Gallery invited eminent artist, Suhas Bahulkar to give a live demonstration of portrait painting at the gallery, on the occasion of the release of a special catalogue of his work.
The live - model painting demo of a priest dressed in a typical 'bhataji' dress was appreciated and enjoyed by an enthusiastic crowd of art - lovers and students.
Live Portrait Painting using Watercolour by Anil Naik
Anil Naik, a senior professor from Sir. J. J. School of Art, Mumbai, was invited by India Art Gallery to give a live-model painting demonstration. An experienced artist, who is adopted at handling most mediums, decided to use water colours for this particular demo.
This subject was a colourful 'bandman', who was hired as the artist's model. The colourful bandman's uniform, with his musical instrument made for an interesting subject.
Umbrella Painting
On a cloudy Sunday in July, Indiaart celebrated the Monsoon season by having an open-air session of painting on umbrellas alongside with the artists of the on - going Monsoon show. Participants enjoyed a fun - filled morning of splashing colours to produce of colourful array of umbrellas. The 'Shivneri Brigade' sent their troops to vent their defence skills using brushes instead of guns for a change! The troops left requesting us to have more such events. A grand time was had by all.
Exhibition of painted umbrellas by Achyut Palav & Demonstration
Indiaart Gallery had arranged a show of specially painted umbrellas and T - shirts by celebrated calligrapher Achyut Palav to raise funds for the flood affected people of Maharashtra. These were displayed at Indiaart Gallery on the 27th of August 2005. A lively atmosphere was created with the colourful display of open umbrellas and the brisk sale of T - shirts and Achyut Palav giving a live demonstration which was admired by the audience present.
