Exhibition Of Paintings, Drawings and Photographs by Jake Bullough

 

Jake is a young and restless soul whose interests and passions range from Art, Nature, Cycling and Writing. In early 2008, he cycled from Ireland to India which took him 4 months. The end result of this gruelling journey was lots of written word, photographs,sketches and paintings of impressions of people and mountains along the way.

 

The cycle journey that took Jake from Ireland to India which traversed through diverse cultures of Ireland, Wales, England, France, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan and India visiting cities of Oxford, London, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Deva, Alexandria, Veliko Tarnovo, Istanbul, Ankara, Tabriz, Esfahan, Yazd, Bam, Quetta, Lahore, Delhi; will be presented in the form of a book which will be published in March 2009 along with an exhibition of drawings and paintings by Jake of the impressions of the people and the mountains along the way. This exhibition will also feature photographs shot by Jake on this journey.

 

The exhibition will open at Indiaart Gallery, Pune, India on 20th March 2009 and will travel to Ireland with the possibility of additional showings in one or more cities of the countries enroute the original journey.

 

Not satisfied with this small achievement, Jake plans to undertake several such missions over the next three years which will involve him cycling through several troubled regions and spread the message of peace, humanity and brotherhood.
