New Paintings in the series "Call of the Hills" by Chitra Vaidya
"Call of the Hills" was conceptualised by Milind V. Sathe, who runs Indiaart.com apart from being a trustee of Art India Foundation. He teamed up with Mumbai based artist Chitra Vaidya to work on this project. Chitra revisits and relives the mystique of these hills through her paintings and takes you back to this old world charm which you would never want to fade away.

Yasala Balaiah
Rural Life Painting by Yasala BalaiahYasala Balaiah an established senior artist from Ibrahimpur was born in 1939 & now resides in Hyderabad. After completing his M. A. & B.Ed in Drawing & Painting in 1962 he took up a job as an art teacher. This multi talented artist, who is also an expert at Batik painting, at one time earned himself the nick name, "Batik Balaiah", fascinating people all over the world with his dexterous experiments in this medium.
Ananya Banerjee

Most of her paintings contain either human faces or the eternal sign of peace - The Buddha. As an artist I try to capture the intimacy of the rural spirit in my art. I find nature as the true inspiration which gives me visual sensations that I try to depict in my paintings. I use stylized forms and innovative colour schemes to bring out the mystery and grace of my subjects.
Pune Heritage Cycle RidePune Heritage Cycle Ride
On the occasion of World Heritage Day (18th April) and the week long activities being planned by Janwani at Pune, Art India Foundation organized "Pune Heritage Cycle Ride" jointly with Aranyavaak on Sunday 22nd April 2012.
This cycle ride commenced from Fergusson College at 7 a.m. and covered various heritage structures in Pune such as Pataleshwar Temple, Omkareshwar Temple, Shaniwarwada, Kasba Ganapati, Raste Wada, Peshve Daftar, Council Hall, Southern Command, War Memorial and ended at Empress Garden.
