This science essay is part of the shortlist from Khula Aasmaan essay contest for children. This children�s essay contest was organised by Khula Aasmaan and Science Park, Pune to celebrate Science Day 2019.

Wheel is the most important invention of all time. Wheels are present everywhere in our surroundings. Initially, the people used to travel by walking and then the wheel was invented. As wheel was invented, the man made bullock cart. Then after making bullock carts he made many different vehicles for example cars, bicycle, bike, etc. Each of the early civilization have made their contribution towards the advancement of wheel. The place where the wheel was invented was Mesopotamia in the middle east.

Wheels are used for different purposes and are different in sizes. Wheels were invented because the work was getting harder for the cave man and he needed the work to be made easy for him. With the help of medicine we can cure disease and treat injuries but with the help of wheel we can expand to farther places to find new binds of medicine. Earlier wheel was also used as a tool.

When the wheel was invented it was made from a piece of wood. Now-a-days the wheels are made from an alloy of aluminum and magnesium and are also rubber coated. Wheels were first used by potters for making pots. Wheels gave a direction for the unending inventions, Wheel is also considered as a mechanical invention.

Wheel is termed as �Revolutionary Wheel� because the single invention of wheel has changed the whole world. Hence, the invention of wheel was nothing short of a revolution, since it infused place in life.
