Gitanjali Bhawalkar

Artist Gitanjali Bhawalkar We all have an instinct inside, which is the source of our energy keeping us alive to dream, create, feel around and dive deep in our passions. And we start enjoying and understanding life when we follow and flow with our thoughts in our own way.

We express emotions at our best, bake shapes, create patterns, designs, sport mountains, dance moves, music from rains, springs and autumns for all seasons- And, the artist inside awakes!

As a child, I was exposed to a variety of art fields and this is when I recognized my love & attraction towards colors.

Though I am a Pune based IT professional with 5 years experience in software field, I am trying keep every bit of my remaining time dipped in canvas and colors.

Grown up in city of temples & Sadhus - Ujjain, you can find my paintings inspired by the same - Ghats, Babas, temples and a search to achieve salvation.

Studied basics of painting at Wakankar Kala Sansthan, Ujjain, attended several sculpture workshops at Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal, Acrylic workshops and demos at Indiaart.

My basic art style includes acrylic on canvas, Black pen on paper (Learnt from my guru - Late Sri Kishore Umarekar).

Recently trying to experiment with Warli art and soft pastels to which I was lately introduced at Darpan Art gallery.
