Colours of Life - Recent Works by Nitin Nangare
Colours of Life - Recent Works by Nitin NangareMany artist have painted them, but Nitin Nangare paints them differently. A solemn, graceful aesthetics fills his work depicting Indian Tribal women, as they go about their various activities. Their flowing, luminous garments are offset by deftly textured shadows that express fascinating depths. Against a landscape sometimes stern, sometimes lightly coloured, the women Nitin paints emerge as strong, indomitable figures.

Anand Mali
Painting by Anand MaliI am moved by the constant change in nature. For instance, sunlight, moonlight, evening etc. I make my own any one moment of this changing kaleidoscope. Of that moment, I absorb everything around it, light and form, the smell and sound, the harmony and the mood.
All my paintings related to nature. I try and capture the feel of that one moment, embedded in my being. My paintings though are not a exact replica of what I see but the process of feeling and absorbing that moment. The process begins when I first touch the canvas with paint and that itself becomes the moment.
