F. V. Chikkamath
In post modernity it is no longer possible to make a distinction between real and the unreal. Images had become detached to a real world. In a way, all these have become distrubed - distorted images and have become closer to the aesthetics of distortion. Once the greenery comes under the attack of urban culture it loses all its traditional beauty and is absorbing the post human global aesthetics. In this context Chikkmath F. V. has articulated the contemporary folk and rural cultures.

Balasaheb Abhang
In Balasaheb Abhang, the art connoisseur will find a master of abstract paintings.
As the colour scheme is always a combination of subtle tints and soft, dark shadows, one realizes that each painting is a meditation.
Forms emerge gently from a hazy background and dissolve back into it. They speak of beautiful transitory movements of life. Some of the paintings have a marked dynamism. |
