Santosh Mahadik

A qualified G.D. Art professional, Santosh is a graduate from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya. His career as a commercial artist has witnessed eight successful years through various advertising agencies of high repute and now he runs his own enterprise in Pune. While painting, his muse meets him through simple yet symbolic themes stemming from the common life. Objects symbolizing a frugal existence and images from the Indian bucolic world are some of the potent, recurrent themes in his paintings. Most of his work is done in Acrylic. A number of his paintings have been a part of prestigious exhibitions like Art for Heart’s Sake, an endeavour by M’pathy that was held for a social cause (Year 2005 -2007), where his paintings had bagged the first prize for two consecutive years. Along with painting, his expertise lies in ideation, creation ad execution of an advertising idea.

Sachin Akalekar

Presently working as a senior graphic designer at a well known web designing and development firm. Sachin has completed his graduation from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya with G.D. Art in Illustration. As an artist, some of his domains include acrylic and mixed media. Drawing his inspiration from nature and people, nothing fascinates him like creating figurative and conceptual paintings. Sachin’s paintings have had the honour of reaching across far and wide through various exhibits in Pune and Mumbai. In Pune, his paintings were displayed at ‘Art for Heart’s sake’ an endeavour by M’pathy that was taken up for a social cause. Besides, he has also participated in prominent art festivals in Goa and Dubai. His paintings have won many accolades including 2nd prize in Mood Indigo. Mumbai (1997) and 1st prize for the illustration calendar for Reliance (TAG awards, 2005)
