When I met Jake for the first time and learnt about his phenomenal bicycle journey from Ireland to India, I was completely awestruck. This unique feat which took Jake through varied cultures, magnificent mountains as well as dangerous regions, has given him a vast canvas to paint on. The good thing is that he has done so in style with paintings, drawings and a book which is unassuming and honest to the core as the cyclist, artist and author is in real life.

Rarely would anyone come across an artist who engages himself on an exploration project which is so arduous and does it in a trademark unassuming manner. To me, this is a journey of exploration, of grit and risk taking and of being a continuous observer of this planet, its people and their own ways of tackling day to day life. The fact that Jake has been able to put together this exhibition and book shows that for him the journey and the search goes on.

Let us join him in this amazing journey and the future ones as well.
