Rajani grew up in a small town in southern India where the sacred waters meet the lush fields and plantations. She gets her inspirations from nature in its purest form, the landscape and beauty that surrounds her - autumn leaves, flower petals, raindrops, snow covered mountains. These paintings are a reflection of her interactions with nature.
Having been a self-taught artist since childhood, she also pursued formal training at the Triveni Kala Sangam in New Delhi. She continued her work under the able guidance of Smt. Vijaya Bagai (a senior artist in New Delhi) and subsequently also trained at the J J College of Arts in Mumbai. Over the years, her work has been displayed at multiple prestigious venues across Delhi and Mumbai.
Oil over canvas is her preferred medium of painting.
