Warli Painting

History & Background :

This Tribal Art form is from Maharashtra State's Thane District. Paintings are mailnly done on cloth and on the walls of houses.

Objective :

Warli Painting course starts with its history, origin, the forms, symbols and icons, material handling.
Its commercial applications: Tarpa design (a traditional dance) is given to participant along with various designs of warli paintings with its symbolic importance.

Madhubani Painting

History & Background :

This Tribal Art form is from Bihar state of India. It cheafly prevails in Madhubani district of Bihar. The paintings are mainly done on paper, cloth, pots etc. Traditionally they are painted in natural colours. Generally Madhubani paintings are in dark colours.

Objective :

To learn religious themes they paint on Radha-Krishna, Mahadeva- Parvati, Durga, Kali, Ganesh, Hanuman, natural scenes of villages, flora and faunaetc.

We provide material for the course.
