Pune Heritage Cycle Ride
Pune Heritage Cycle RideOn the occasion of World Heritage Day (18th April) and the week long activities being planned by Janwani at Pune, Art India Foundation organized "Pune Heritage Cycle Ride" jointly with Aranyavaak on Sunday 22nd April 2012.

This cycle ride commenced from Fergusson College at 7 a.m. and covered various heritage structures in Pune such as Pataleshwar Temple, Omkareshwar Temple, Shaniwarwada, Kasba Ganapati, Raste Wada, Peshve Daftar, Council Hall, Southern Command, War Memorial and ended at Empress Garden.
 
We the People
We the People Milind V. Sathe announced the art project - "We The People" on Sunday 28th August 2011. Under this project, artists from all over India will be invited to work on the theme "We The People". The artists will express themselves through their art on their interpretation of the concepts such as power to the people, the vibrant democracy of India, people's movement and so on.

150 Years of Income Tax - Art Exhibition & Workshop at Pune on the theme Nation Building through Income TaxOn the occasion of completion of 150 years in India, Income Tax Department organised a series of unique initiatives. These include an Art Exhibition, an art workshop by 14 city based professional artists and creation of a large canvas collectively by officers and staff of Income Tax Department as well as other visiting dignitaries.

Mithila (Madhubani) Painting - Demonstration of Mithila art by Shanti Devi on 5th Sept. 2010Demonstration of Mithila art was conducted on 5th Sept by renowned artist Shanti Devi, originally from Bihar now settled in Delhi. The workshop was open to all. While answering queries on Mithila (Madhubani) art form, she also explained how old this art form is and the how they use to make the colours from. Like from Haldi they use to make yellow, from yellow mustard seeds and Sindoor they use to make red, from Parijaat flowers stem they make orange and from green from leaves and black from kajal.

Artfest 10 - At Pune on 30th May - 12th June 2010Indiaart and Art India Foundation have organised Artfest 10 which aims at making an active statement for the environment and raise the consciousness of the society through an art initiative.
Artfest 10 opened with a Cycle Ride on Sunday 30th May 2010. The ride commenced at 7.30 a.m. from Cafe Goodluck near Deccan Gymkhana and ended at Empress Garden with breakfast being served to all the cyclists.

Felicitation of Prof. D. S. Khatavkar on 10th May 2009Prof. D. S. Khatavkar was President of Pune’s famous Tulshibaug Ganesh Mandal for 55 years. He was appointed by Maharashtra State Art Director as inspection incharge for Art Schools in Maharashtra. He has established a trust for giving scholarships for needy and promising art students from Art Colleges in Maharashtra.
