Fergusson College

This 126 year old college is one of the top 10 institutions in India. Founded by Tilak, Gokhale and others, this 65 acre campus college with its fine western architecture has also been known as the 'cradle of Indian polity' as V. D. Savarkar, 2 Indian prime ministers and many other politicians and notable personalities from many other fields have been its alumni.

Pataleshwar

The ancient 8th century Hindu cave was excavated in the Rashtrakut era and is a spectacular monolithic sculpture. With three sanctums and many pillars in the main cave and another small cave adjacent to it, the most peculiar feature of this cave is its fully covered circular monolithic Nandi mandap.
