Call of the Hills Exhibition of Paintings - Introduction

Hills bring back to us the crisp air, charm and nostalgia of the laid back life, period architecture, heritage hotels, clubs, prestigious schools, charming bungalows, winding roads, old churches, walking trails and busy bazars... each season has its own colours. The charm and romance of these hill stations lingers on and attracts people from all over to experience their mystique.

"Call of the Hills" was conceptualised by Milind V. Sathe, who runs Indiaart.com apart from being a trustee of Art India Foundation. He teamed up with Mumbai based artist Chitra Vaidya to work on this project. Chitra revisits and relives the mystique of these hills through her paintings and takes you back to this old world charm which you would never want to fade away.
